Here’s a brief overview of three of the best hostels in Bucharest, Romania
My personal favorite was The Cozyness, but each of these are great options and have something different to offer.** Of course which one you like best will depend on your priorities! Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
1. The Cozyness Downtown Hostel
Really good location. Takes under 10 minutes to walk to “old town” where you’ll find the best restaurants and nightlife
Free bikes to use, great showers
Very COZY. I’m not sure how many beds this place has, but it’s on the small size. The common area offers the perfect amount of space for everyone to feel comfortable, but is very conducive to making friends since there’s not too much space. Loads of board games, movies, and video games.
Everyone felt like family by the time I left. Including the owner, who is always ready to help/socialize/make you laugh.
2. Umbrella Hostel
Good location. Not the best in terms of proximity to “old town”, but the neighborhood is quiet and safe, with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets nearby
Free breakfast, large common space with huge TV for watching movies
Gorgeous, quirky artwork on all the walls. Great layout/design.
Medium-sized with 32 beds
Great vibe; everyone was very friendly and welcoming
3. Antique Hostel
Amazing location – right in the middle of the historical “old town”
2 minute walk to nightlife & many restaurants
Gorgeous view of the Dambovita river and the Palace of Justice across the street
Medium-sized with 30 beds
Seemed like there would be a good vibe. I was only here for 20 minutes visiting a friend, but my friend really enjoyed his stay here.
**I received a free/discounted stay at 1 and 2. This did not influence my reviews, which are always 100% my own opinion. My honesty can’t be bought!**
